All 23,750 tickets sold for Game 1 of the Korean Series

LG seeks first overall title in 29 years since 1994

 

The best-of-seven Korean Series (KS) will kick off in front of a sold-out crowd.

 

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced on Sunday that Game 1 of the KS between the KT Wiz and LG Twins at 6:30 p.m. at Jamsil Stadium is sold out. All 23,750 tickets were sold by 1:30 p.m., five hours before the start of the game.

 

The cumulative attendance for the 10 games this fall is 178,798. Four games were sold out, including today"s game.

 

LG, one of the KBO"s most popular clubs, finished first in the regular season for the first time since 1994. Fans are also responding enthusiastically to the team"s challenge to win the title for the first time in 29 years.

 

As soon as KS tickets went on sale on the 6th, the ticket purchase website crashed. Fans who survived the "ticketing war" will fill Jamsil Stadium on that day.

 

LG, which has been in the KS for 21 years since 2002, is determined to resolve the long-standing "Han" this year.

 

After winning the franchise"s first unified title in 2021, KT finished second in the regular season this year and made it to the KS through the playoffs. They will face LG with the goal of reclaiming the throne after a two-year absence. 19???03
